BPC's Latest Podcast

We had a great service this past Sunday celebrating Father’s Day at BPC! Not only did we acknowledge & honor all the Dads in attendance but we also blessed each Dad with a cool gift, a 18 in 1 screw driver which I know will come in handy! I hope all of you BPC Dads had a very happy & relaxing Father’s Day yesterday!

During the service I concluded June’s 2 part series entitled “In Need of a Miracle” with the message “Don’t Abandon the Ship!” Not only did we talk about Titanic, the great ocean liner that sank in the North Atlantic on 4/14/12 but we also discussed Jesus’ parable of the Lost Son closely examining his father’s response to him (the youngest son) upon his return home.

Rather than me giving away all the good stuff, you can listen to this message for yourself. Just click on the title of this blog post and you’ll be directed to our podcast webpage. Hope you’re blessed by this word about forgiveness and generosity!

What Makes a Dad

A few people have asked for a copy of the "What Makes a Dad" poem I read on Sunday so, it's written out below. Enjoy!

"What Makes a Dad" Author Unknown
God took the strengthof a mountain, the majesty of a tree, the warmth of a summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea, the generous soul of nature, the comforting arm of night, the wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle's flight, the joy of a morning in spring, the faith of a mustard seed, the patience of eterntiy, the depth of a family need, then God combined these qualities, and there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, and so, He called it - Dad.

BPC Outdoor Svc & FREE Picnic at Riverview Park

You don’t want to miss this Sunday at BridgePoint Church cuz it’s our 4th annual Outdoor Service & FREE Picnic at Tarentum’s beautiful Riverview Park!

The service starts at 11AM in the “band shell” area of the park so please make sure you’re there & bring someone with you for kickin’ music that will lead us into what I’m believing is a inspiring & challenging message for our church as we jump into summer 2011.

Following the service let the feasting begin! We’re having the most famous, mouth watering chicken you have ever, & I mean EVER, tasted as well as a banquet of the most delicious “blue ribbon” dishes you have ever, & I mean EVER, seen! If you call BPC home you are most definitely invited to bring something to eat & something sweet to share!

Hey kids, don’t forget to bring your friends cuz Mr Steve is having for you guys the World’s longest Slip n Slide as well as cotton candy, games and of course…CANDY!

The weather man says it’ll be a great day so please don’t come to BPC alone, bring someone with you for a great time!

PS: only if it's raining cats & dogs will we meet at the church instead.
