Blessings abound

Hi, All ! This is Francie. I just wanted to take a minute and say how personally blessed I am to be part of the APC/MCM network! We had our monthly meeting today. How awesome it is to be connected to other pastors and their wives who are devoted to serving God and who are dedicated to reaching as many people as we can. I am overwhelmed with gratitude, excitement and encouragement every time I leave those meetings !!

Wayne Benson spoke today at the meeting. He was great! He is the former Pres. of Central Bible College (our son, Gregory, will be a Senior there this fall and Alexandra, our daughter, graduated from there last year). Wayne currently is the Pres. of Emerge Ministries in Akron, Ohio. He had some great stuff to share with all of us. He and his wife, Kathy are wonderful people and have a heart for pastors. I was blessed ! Thank you , Lord for the great privilege of serving You as a church planter!

Thanks , Pastor Nick for coordinating these meetings- great job!! We appreciate you.

Kick off of summer @ BPC

Memorial Day usually marks the “kick off” of summer & what a great service we had @ BPC on Sunday! Not only did we welcome four 1st time guests we also took time out to honor the men & women who have served our country over the years. Their sacrifice is just one of the many reasons why we can meet together & talk about Jesus every Sunday AM! We so appreciate all of our guests & those who’ve served in the military as well as their families.

We also began a new message series entitled, “Get in the Game” Thanks to Debbie F. & Rick for participating in the race game, hope you enjoyed the prizes. BTW…every Sunday during this series we’ll be having some sort of competition so, come ready to participate.

Speaking of participation…we answered the question to the first message in the series, “What’s up with going 2 church?” Church is people, not buildings. God’s family loving each other & loving the world. Love is what is going to Connect Real People to the Real God! So…participation is vital in Gods family because everyone is important & everyone has value! It’s been said that “we’re not fulfilled unless we’re giving of ourselves” & Jesus called His 12 & us to participate (give of ourselves) in the greatest message that ever was, a lasting message that’s so much bigger than ourselves. We love being a part of God’s family!

Also…a big thanks to P. Nick, Carl, Tiffany & Sarah for filling in for P. Cal & Donata in Jr. Church...thanks for participating!

Last Sunday AM God was all over BPC

God was all over our service last Sunday @ BPC. Praise & worship took off with incredible singing, clapping & raising of hands. Before ending in worship Johanna Polaski shared with the congregation her need for a physical & financial touch from God. 25 people left their seats surrounding Johanna & Curtis with the laying on of hands and lifting their voices in powerful prayer. It was fantastic to see God moving through Real People at that moment.

We welcomed 7 guests to the service by giving them the book “How Good is Good Enough” by Andy Stanley. Then brought everyone up to speed on what’s happening @ BPC over the next 5 weeks.

I finished our “CrossRoads” series with a message entitled, “What to do when crisis hits.” Luke 10:38-42, Martha & Mary, gives us a glimpse into how the sisters were wired up…the reactor & the responder. So when crisis hit their lives, the death of their Bro Lazarus, each gal kicked in. The Big Idea for the morning…Our hold on God determines if we’ll be a reactor or a responder when crisis hits. Chuck Siebert (SFWC & the Sons of God MC club) gave his life changing testimony and 2 motorcycles were on display at the front during the entire service. Then, at the altar time a Real life was changed by receiving Christ…OMG (Gosh) PTL!!

I then challenged everyone in the service to submit 3 names of people they’d like to pray for & invite to our next sermon series “Get in the Game”. Many flooded the front piling a stack of cards on the table. We ended the service standing together in prayer for those Real People.

Then it was time to eat! Thanks so much to everyone who brought something to share for the luncheon and..a big thanks to Linda & her team for preparing the food & drinks. You all are the best!

Check out the following post(s) for

What a Mother's Day Svc!!

Last Sunday during our service, BPC celebrated Mother’s Day by honoring 25 Moms. Cheers, applause and a small gift was given to each Mom just to say thanks for taking on one of the most rewarding (and toughest) jobs ever.

We continued in our “CrossRoads” series with a message entitled “The 3 R’s of Relationships-real, relevant & relaxed.” Moms are all about relationships & "in relationship we must have a whatever it takes mentality” …something that every Mom understands. I was so proud of my wife Francie (also a great Mom) who did a terrific job team teaching the message with me. Can’t wait for the next time we team up!

This Sunday will be another Great Sunday @ BPC. We will be concluding our “CrossRoads” series with the message “What to do when crisis hits.” Chuck “Turk” Seibert, Vice Prez of the Sons of God Motorcycle Club will be with us. The Sons of God is a Christian Motorcycle ministry whose primary function is to be missionaries to bikers. Visit their website @ sogmcpgh.org. Following the service we will be having lunch together so come hungry… for more of God!

Next Sunday it’s “Get in the Game.”

Last Sunday we continued our “CrossRoads” series by talking about, “How to get the most out of your job.” It’s all about training, preparation & attitude. Be @ peace, be thankful & know that God has you @ your job for a reason. He’s always up to something & even when it seems like you’re hardly working, God is always working on you.

Thanks to everyone for your great comments & kind words regarding the messages in this series & the last one. It’s exciting to know that many are applying to their lives the truths we’ve been talking about & are seeing results! So, “keep making correct choices @ life’s intersections!

This Sunday is Mother's Day & BPC will be honoring all Moms. We have a small gift to show them our appreciation for being willing to tackle one of the greatest & hardest jobs on the planet. Also, I’m very excited to say that my wife Francie will be teaching the message with me. This will be the first time we’ve “team taught.” She & I spent all day Monday studying & preparing. There is still some work left to do but we'll finalize the message by Saturday evening. Francie is a good speaker, great in front of people & will do a fabulous job as we “Connect Real People to the Real God!”

This week keep BridgePoint Church in your prayers!
